Art and Artist Files (Australia & New Zealand). Born in Queensland, Gwen commenced painting and drawing in 1979. Since obtaining her Art Certificate from St George College of TAFE in 1983, Gwen has received many commendations and awards including 1st Prize 1989, Contemporary Painting, Kogarah Municipal Exhibition; First Prize, Merriwa Drawing Award. Gwen's paintings were also selected for Portia Geach competition in 1993, The Australian Watercolour Exhibitions in 1990 - 92 - 93 and in 1994 her work was included in the Salon de Refuse' Exhibition at S.H. Erwin Gallery.
